Today students from Eaton Academy left for New York, led by Ms. Eaton-Partalis and Mr. Uitvlugt. The group will see a Broadway show, visit at least one museum, and see Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. Additional sightseeing will take place on a bus. The trip will be updated on the blog with photos and quotes from the group.
From Ms. Eaton-Partalis: “Great flight! Clear as a bell. Flew over Ellis Island, Statue of Liberty, and Citifield into LGA. As one student put it, ‘Wow, what a pretty awesome view!’ Off to Central Park, dinner, Broadway, and Times Square.”

Filmed entirely in Shreveport Louisiana, shooting started April 4th and wrapped up the end of May.
“Playing the Field” is a romantic comedy starring Gerard Butler, Jessica Biel, Uma Thurman, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Dennis Quaid. Butler plays George, a retired soccer pro who, after a string of bad investments and a burned out lifestyle, moves back to Virginia to reconnect with his estranged ex-wife (Jessica Biel) and his son (Noah Lomax). Trying to win back Biel’s affection, George starts coaching his son’s soccer team, but things get complicated when George is distracted by soccer moms and desperate housewives.
Noah attended class while on the set in Louisiana with a tutor provided by the Screen Actors Guild. Eaton Academy outlined his program, provided all of his materials, and worked closely with the tutor to ensure Noah’s success in 3rd grade.
