The 5/6 group researched an invention by Thomas Edison. They had to create a flow chart and write a paragraph. The flow chart depicted what was used prior to his invention, his actual invention, and how his invention has progressed today.
High School Science Fair

The high school Science Fair was a huge success. Projects ranged from family genealogy to a video game for the visually impaired. Winners will be announced next week.

Cory, a student in the Chemistry class is seen here experimenting with Mentos candy. He has used 4 different types of carbonated drinks based on sugar content to determine the formation of gas. The results in the video show that Diet Coke, due to artificial sweetener, created a chemical reaction that measured 10 feet into the air.

Grades 2/3 study life cycle of frogs

The 5/6 and 2/3 grade social studies classes are creating a Power Point presentation. The 5/6 class chose a person who was an urban reformer during the Industrial Period in America. The 2/3 class students are creating their presentation on the three branches of our government.
Science class makes machines

The Eighth graders have displayed samples of simple machines. Each student brought in, built or drew a simple machine to demonstrate a concept for the class. They were very creative!
