Greetings!
Lockers finally arrived a few weeks ago, and Middle School Pod Class Students have enjoyed decorating and organizing their belongings in their new space!
Last Friday students participated in our bi-monthly assembly. Ms. Hall’s and Mrs. Stickel’s students presented “B” in B.E.S.T- one of our character education themes. The 8th graders joined the high school students and discussed the importance of carefully choosing friends and making wise decisions when using social network sites. We also discussed upcoming events and shared cake with our August and September birthday students. Assemblies are always well received and students continue to be respectful and participate appropriately.

Dear Parents,
Thanks so much for attending our Enrichment Party last night! It is always enjoyable to learn about the variety of student activities while spending an evening with other Eaton families. We had a great and tasty Cinco De Mayo celebration today. Many thanks to the generosity of London, Stephen, and Kimberly! Tomorrow, Mrs. Baldrich, Mr. Williams, and Ms. Cohan along with the 8 grade students and many parents will begin a weekend of fun in Savannah. This trip is the exiting culmination of Georgia studies.
The last weeks of school will include many end-of-year events and exams. I have highlighted these below:

Dear Parents,
Where has the time gone?
I can hardly believe Thanksgiving is here, and first semester will soon be over.
By the end of the week, your child will be bringing home an information/sign-up sheet (please note it is double sided) for our 6th Annual International Luncheon. This is a wonderful event which gives families the opportunity to bring in and share a dish that is special to them. We always look forward to sampling these family favorites. Our luncheon this year will be held on Thursday, December 9 @ 11:00. (more…)

Dear Parents,
This Friday students participated in our bi-monthly assembly. Ms. Hall’s students presented one of our character education words – kindness. We also reviewed the “B” in B.E.S.T, discussed upcoming events, and shared cake with our August and September birthday students. Assemblies are always well received by the students, and they continue to be respectful and participate appropriately.
In accordance with our handbook, today was the last day students were permitted to wear shorts at school. We appreciate your support in making sure students come to school dress according to code. Appropriate school attire is outlined in our school handbook. Please remember that Thursday, October 7 is picture day. Students may dress up or wear Monday-Thursday attire.

Dear Parents,
The school year is off to a great start. Students are adhering to dress code regulations, arriving on time, and eager to complete assignments. Teachers are busily integrating new curriculum, technology, and accommodations daily. We thank all the parents for their continued support and patience as we enter our 4th week. Please feel free to email me at any time with questions (jgrant@eatonacademy.org). Consistent communication is one of the key elements in a successful educational experience.
Every other Friday students take part in a K-8 assembly. During these assemblies, we talk about upcoming events, occasionally have outside speakers/guests, and work on character education, which includes B.E.S.T. and W.O.W.
