In World History class, Andrew, Riley, Eric, Mitchell, and Samuel explored the ancient civilizations of Egypt, Mesopotamia, and India using websites of the British Museum. On the Egyptian website, students learned about pharaohs, pyramids, mummification, gods and goddesses, and Senet, a game played by the ancient Egyptians. Students explored the palace of King Ashurnasirpal II of Assyria and the royal tombs of Ur in Sumer on the Mesopotamian website. On the ancient India website, the class toured the ancient city of Mohenjo-Daro and studied the life of Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha. Integrating technology into the classroom and preparing our students for the challenges of the 21st century are important goals of Eaton Academy.
