The eighth grade trip to Savannah was a huge success! Six students attended along with five parents and three chaperones. Thanks to excellent planning by Mrs. Baldrich, all the activities went off without a “hitch”! The students enjoyed a historical tour of Savannah aboard a trolly car. The teachers were impressed with how much the students remembered from their study of Georgia History. Dinner at the Pirates’ House was a highlight of the trip. Captain Jack Sparrow recognized our students in a toast while other diners applauded their success!
On Saturday night we were “spooked by spooks” on the Savannah ghost tour. Luckily no one had nightmares! Then on Sunday we climbed aboard a small boat for a private dolphin adventure trip. Cruising up and down the Savannah, we were lucky enough to see a family of dolphins. After that, we had an hour of fun on the beach at Tybee Island before indulging in fresh seafood at the Sting Ray’s. Tired and happy, we all reluctantly headed back to Atlanta later on Sunday.
