Eaton Academy goes to The Big Apple

Today students from Eaton Academy left for New York, led by Ms. Eaton-Partalis and Mr. Uitvlugt.  The group will see a Broadway show, visit at least one museum, and see Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. Goody goody gum drops

Students in Chemistry are learning about Covalent and Ionic Bonding.  With the use of gum drops and toothpicks, the students were able to model single, double and triple bonding of both simple and complex molecules.  The compounds that are shown here include ethane, ethene and ethyne which are 3 forms of hydrocarbons.
