With the 2019-20 school year having just concluded, I want to thank the parents of our students for entrusting us with their education. Helping them to grow socially and emotionally and to advance academically is why Eaton Academy exists. Seeing our students laugh and learn brings joy to everyone on our staff.

Needless to say, this has been a year unlike any other. We have all been forced to make huge adjustments and to adapt to a new, virtual world. It has been heartwarming for me to read the kind words so many of our parents sent us in praise of the work our staff did with the online approach to learning. Eaton teachers and support staff devoted a great deal of effort toward maintaining the high quality of our academic programs.
Speaking of the learn-at-home environment affords me another opportunity to offer my sincere thanks to our parents for the time and energy they invested in supporting their children in our online classrooms. Their assistance made all the difference in the world. We recognize that many parents had to take on multiple roles – parent, teacher, employee – all at once in order to keep their households functioning and their children learning.
To our parents: “Congratulations! You made it!”
Our instructors also deserve a huge “Thank You” for all the hours of planning and teaching they did this year, both before and after the lockdown. I recognize that they too had to wear many hats over the last three months as they worked face-to-face online with our students and took care of all their duties at home.
While some students and teachers will be in class this summer, we do look forward to a little rest, and hope that everyone in our community can as well. We have already begun making plans for the 2020-21 school year. We look forward to seeing everyone – hopefully in person.
Again, I thank all of our students, families, and staff sincerely for being a part of the Eaton Academy community, and I wish you a healthy, safe, and peaceful summer!
Best Regards,
Brian
