Dear Parents of High School Students:
Happy Friday! It seems that we’re back to a ‘normal’ schedule now, with most of the weather threats seemingly behind us.
The clubs and activities progress is underway. Bowling forms were sent home at the beginning of the week, and we have had a great response! It looks like we’ll have a good group to pick up the Tennis Club again this spring, as well. We are still looking for a few more participants to make the Wednesday afternoon Gymnasium Days (basketball, floor hockey, frisbee, etc) and the Flag Football Club a ‘go’.
This coming Friday, the 4th, we will be honored to have AMA Pro Sportbike racer Huntley Nash on campus to talk about goal-setting as part of our latest installment of character education in the ‘BEST’ series. He will be bringing one of his bikes, some of his equipment, and his head mechanic in for his talk and question-answer session.
Details are being finalized for Mrs. Kern’s class trip to Washington, DC! We’ll be traveling during the first week in March and taking in many of the historic and cultural offerings of the city. Look for future postings with stories and pictures from our three-day trip.
Lunch forms will be sent home at the beginning of next week for the upcoming month. Please ask your child for the form if you haven’t seen it by Wednesday morning.
The first set of progress reports for this semeseter have been completed, and they will be uploaded to the server when it updates tonight. All grades should be available for viewing through the parent portal by tomorrow morning at the latest. Consistent with our policy throughout the year, students with grades of 75 or above in each of their classes with no ‘Incompletes’ are eligible for early dismissal at 2:25pm. All other students are required to attend Help Session Monday through Thursday until 3:25pm. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
The weekend weather looks to be sunny and a lot warmer, so enjoy!
Stay in touch,
Glen Hauenstein
