Ms. Hrabosky’s English classes completed a mini unit in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as we celebrated his birthday just a few days ago. Students listened to the audio of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have a Dream Speech.” After reading a biography and discussing the many accomplishments of his life, the students were asked to be creative writers. They wrote a personal narrative that tells about their dream for the world, which included what they would change and why. Students learned that it is important to dream and set goals to accomplish them.
