Join me and be a champion of YES for the Arthritis Foundation!
We’d like to recognize one of our 8th grade students, Aliza Gold. Aliza has been chosen to be the Youth Honoree for the 2016 Walk to Cure Arthritis, Atlanta, GA. After having pain for many years, Aliza was diagnosed with Arthritis at the age of 12, and later specifically diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA). After some time she wasn’t able to walk and ended up in a wheelchair. As you can imagine, this journey has been difficult and continues to be. However, through medical help and love and support from family and friends, Aliza is doing much better and several of us joined her team, “Go Team Aliza”, last year to walk the 1-mile option of the 2015 Walk to Cure Arthritis.
To find out more about Aliza’s story, visit Aliza’s Personal Page or the 2016 Walk to Cure Arthritis’ Honoree Page. Below is basic information about the walk.
