Friday, November 18th the high school went on field trip to the Georgia Ensemble Theater’s production of James and the Giant Peach at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center. James and the Giant Peach is a play based on Roald Dahl’s delightful story of friendship and triumph, at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center. Wednesday and Thursday in all English classes we discussed theatre etiquette, learned about the author; Roald Dalh, the Richard R. George; playwright, the setting, characters, summary of the story, and the themes to prepare us for the play on Friday. Upon return to school we meet for a post-show discussion on the themes of the play, choose a character, created a picture of their character, and wrote a brief summary of their character from the beginning, middle, and end of the play. James and the Giant Peach is a great book, movie, and play that teaches valuable life lessons no matter your age. We had a great time learning about James and the Giant Peach!
