K-8 students and teachers enjoyed and participated in assembly on Friday in several ways. Ms. Giles’s young elementary group performed a skit to show how, Word of the Week (W.O.W.), thoughtfulness can be practiced in everyday life. The eighth graders attended assembly in the high school. Their visit gave them an opportunity to bond with the older students while they discussed B in B.E.S.T. Both W.O.W. and B.E.S.T. are part of Eaton’s character education program. Students also showed their patriotism by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. Finally, we recognized students celebrating birthdays in July, August and September by singing and eating cupcakes. All in all, it was a fun Friday!
