Students in Ms. Bonton’s chemistry class have continued their studies of the chemical substances through the application of the kinetic theory of matter. They evidenced the movement of molecular gases through air by allowing concentrated ammonia and hydrochloric acid solutions to move through a straw apparatus. The formation of an ammonium chloride ring was analyzed to determine if the gases travel at different rates of speed.
