Ms. Hrabosky’s ninth grade English students composed a problem-solution expository essay, then chose a different topic and had to identify at least one solution throughout their paper. They learned the steps to take in order to construct a proper paper. They spent time learning how to identify topic sentences, supporting sentences, and a concluding sentence in a paragraph which helped students understand how to write their paragraphs properly. Students will spend a day being an editor and proofread their own essay as well as a classmate’s essay. The students are excited to share their problem essays with the class.
