Students in Ms. Bonton’s Earth Science class have been studying the three main types of rocks: sedimentary, metamorphic and igneous. Using a hand lens, hydrochloric acid, and a rock identification table, the students were able to identify the mystery rock based on characteristics such as texture, cleavage and reaction with an acid.
