Ms. O’Brien’s HS resource students have been diligently learning about many facets of the Ancient Roman empire. They have enjoyed reading Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar and dressing up in toga’s and war armor they created themselves in Art. Their Roman projects have included reading and researching many of the interesting aspects of typical Roman life in 44 B.C. including the amazing construction of the aqueducts, the Roman baths where the community met, bathed, socialized, and relaxed, and the arenas where the Gladiators competed. They found amazing pictures for the covers of their research reports, and several students exclaimed that they wished they could have lived during this exciting time in history!
